Ludmilla Shilova - soprano

Ludmilla Shilova is a Russian Coloratura Soprano and protégé of the great Operatic Conductor Richard Bonynge who chose her for the Russian and Nordic Premieres of Haydn's opera "Orpheus and Euridice" with Ensemble XXI. Shilova began her music studies at the age of 6. After graduating from the Yekaterinburg Conservatory, she became a soloist at the Yekaterinburg Opera House (Russia’s 3rd most important Opera House after the Bolshoi and Marinsky Theatres). Ludmilla Shilova has sung in opera theatres and in concerts throughout Russia and Europe and at the Sydney Opera House. She has attended private consultations with Dame Joan Sutherland and has recorded under the baton of Richard Bonynge for CD and the Olympia label the leading roles of Euridice in Haydn’s Orpheo and Cinderella in Nicolo Isouard’s Cendrillon. She has been a soloist with many of Russia’s leading orchestras.
