Dmitri Shostakovich: Chamber Symphony
Pia Siirala: Polar Voices

Pia Siirala’s compositions for string orchestra, Polar Voices and Ulita’s Walk, are inspired by the songs of north­eastern Siberian Chukchi, Koryak and Nivkh indigenous peoples. Ulita’s Walk will be given its world premiere during this concert.

This is the first time that an orchestra from Kosovo will appear in Finland.

The Kone Foundation is supporting this concert.
